Certainly gives them leverage at minimum. 6 members in-hand.

They also looking at adding Northern Colorado (Central Washington to replace them in the Big Sky), and three Minnesota schools that have football. MVFC would be hurting for members. We already have some schools in the pipes like Murray State, Lindenwood, Robert Morris and Wayne State Michigan (Horizon/MVFC just like Lindenwood.) D2 Michigan schools said there are no options for them to join an FCS conference. With MVFC split, the MVFC could focus the midwest again. They could entice Dayton to join as a scholarship to join, and D2 Michigan schools like Grand Valley, Saginaw and Wayne State could be future MVFC. Not sure why MVC not targeting Wayne State since they are a R1 institute?
