UHM - That is a big jump in thinking. Possible, but not exactly what was written.

It only explicitly states that Krabbenhoft would be a big player. Whether Gates would donate or not is questionable, he is not known for supporting athletic programs.

Poor reading comprehension leads to another rumor.
