This shouldn't be a surprise. Dickinson was a part of the NAIA Dakotas conference before it disintegrated, and went to the Frontier for 2012-14, before going back to the reconstituted DAK, named the North Star conference. Now that conference is falling apart with the closure of Presentation, and of Iowa Wesleyan before they could complete their joining process, the exit of Jamestown to the GPAC, Viterbo to the Chicagoland and Waldorf to the GPAC. And the Frontier was getting mighty thin with the departure of Lewis-Clark State.

This brings the Frontier to 7 full time members, and the North Star next year will be at 5, including one year member Jamestown, who got booted from the GPAC on their way to NCAA D2.

Kind of sounds like these small NAIA conferences need to merge, or at a minimum arrange a scheduling alliance.
