West Virginia has a ton of schools (over 20 4-year institutions) for a state of its size. There's a few others that I have to imagine aren't doing so hot as well - private schools with small enrollment, where a large portion (if not the majority) of the students are athletes are going to struggle.

A lot of these schools rely on football to attract men (AB has both a regular football team and a sprint football team, combined those rosters have to be like 40% of the men enrolled at the college), but the upcoming enrollment cliff combined with a declining rate of people playing youth football is going to make it even more of an uphill climb.
