This is not the first time the MIAA is in Arkansas. Harding was a men's soccer affiliate in 2012-2015. Since 2019-20, the GAC and the MIAA co-sponsor men's soccer and men's tennis with the GAC administering soccer and the MIAA administering tennis. Ouachita Baptist men's wrestling joins the MIAA in 2023. Arkansas-Fort Smith will be the first full member.
