Kentucky has been somewhat of a no man's land in D3, with some schools in northern conferences and others in southern conferences. This move unites Berea with Transylvania, the first time in forever that two Kentucky schools have shared a D3 conference. Nothing? A group of conferences (GAC, GLIAC, GSC, LSC, MIAA, NSIC) have formed an alliance to discuss reforms to the football playoff system, but they're adamant they don't want to break away.

Most of them are made up of large universities where several of their members may bolt to D1 if no changes being made for all the sports championship. You have schools in the 30,000 enrollment range playing with schools with enrollment less than 1000. They are seeing a lot of the small schools closing shop around them that they don't want to be associated with. The D2 committee keep adding more and more of these smaller schools.

That's your fault. You keep posting these lists and the NAIA schools see it and say, "yeah lets move to D-II" All part of your master plan of D-II schools having to move to D-I to get away from them.

Yeah, I would think some of the D2 and D3 schools are large enough to be peers with D1 schools.
