I didn't mean to say that every single Navy fan on earth ignores the AAC. The point was, losing Navy wouldn't hurt the AAC's deep image, because Navy isn't a part of that image. They are "Navy", a school with a distinct and independent identity, which means they aren't a deep part of the fabric of the AAC even if loads of Navy fans love the AAC. That's not what the public perception is.

And with their special TV contract situation with Army, their most valuable TV game, they aren't fully integrated even in a technical/formal sense.

I'd rather lose UCONN than Navy if it ever came to that, but most non AAC haters don't believe either is going anywhere. I happen to completely feel that Navy is an integral part of the AAC football brand, maybe it's more your perception that it's not because of your overwhelming hatred of anything AAC related. I've actually never heard a peep about Navy not really being considered a completely member of the AAC but really still Indy until you brought it up. 07-coffee307-coffee307-coffee3

Actually, I don't "hate" the AAC, it just seems that way to bethralled AAC fanboys who think any realistic assessment of the AAC is 'hating', LOL.

As for Navy, the situation is pretty clear: Navy's public perception clearly is not as an AAC school. They have their own distinct identity that is a function of a hundred + years of independence, and of course because they are a service academy.

Plus, as i pointed out, even in a formal sense, they aren't integrated into the AAC the way other schools are, because of their TV contract.

IIRC, Navy is officially an "Associate Member", not a "Full Member". So as usual I am right and the AAC fan boy is wrong.

That's just the way it is. 07-coffee3
