Universities are historically bloated. Cut administrators, not student focused opportunities.
Sure, the universities don't need anyone to run them. Leave it all up to the faculty who are never into their own self-interests.

This is EMU's Athletic Department, which is supposedly employed in support of student athletes and athletics. Are we saying there isn't $750k in staff salary there that could be cut? To save sports? I know, who am I kidding.
And one can do the above exercise on every department at every university in the country. It's just that in non-revenue athletics it seems the only people that lose are the athletes.
