RPI meaningless right now

C'mon now, everything has meaning. Be easy, my brother...

Except RPI, it's the dumbest thing ever. It's 25% W/L%, 50% opponent's W/L%, 25% opponent's-opponent's W-L record. So it's a full 75% SOS. You can literally loose every game and 75% of your RPI is still who you schedule (remaining 25% would equal 0).
Rating percentage index

This can give a horrible team in a good conference a big RPI.
