I agree with you Gilesfan. You have to strike when the iron is hot. Years ago we had an opportunity to get into the Big East and passed. How much of a mistake was that? When the right opportunity comes around next time I'd like to think we'll be ready.

And years ago we had a chance to join the A10 and passed too. Seems as if that chance has come again, and again... we are passing.

Has that ever been confirmed, that the A-10 invited ODU and ODU said no? Because it's been established that the A-10 told ODU no a few years ago when they were looking at their post-CAA options, and while their commish said they'd take ODU now, who knows if she was just being polite on ODU turf, since they're not adding schools and don't even need to backfill if schools leave?

Meanwhile, for those of you pining for the CAA: You would HATE today's CAA. HATE it. Look at their, ahem, "TV" deal. One game a week streamed on CBS Digital. No TV at all. They'd probably kill for a Stadium/BeIN/CBS Sports deal.
