All I know is Blaine had at least 3 at-large teams as the 09-10 and 10-11 teams wouldn't have even been on the bubble and I think the 04-05 team would have been in as well to make 4. I'm not old enough to remember the Sunbelt days, but none of Capel's teams would have been considered for an at large. So yes, there is some bias and some of it is gut, but I just haven't seen another ODU team raise their level of play to the point of how the 09-10 or 10-11 teams performed in February and March. It was nice being able to go into the Richmond Coliseum and to watch the NCAA tournament with the peace of mind that, win or lose, ODU was bringing their A game. Had the same sense with the 04-05 team, but their ceiling just wasn't quite as high as the other two teams. Right now, every time we play a big game, I expect us to lay an egg and that's what is frustrating.
