If the admin starts to feel the pain in their wallets, they will be forced to make changes. If we can make it painful enough, the BOD will make a change in leadership. We need to start supporting the team more and the best way to do that is to show up to games and team related events. Stopping the flow of money won't make any of us less of a fan or supporter as long as we show up loud and proud. The admin needs our money and as long as we continue to give them what they want, there will be no change in sight!

It’s simple. You want Jones gone, provide the money for the buyout. If the department loses no money by having him gone they’ll take it. But no midmajor wants to pay TWO coaches at the same time.

Hell if you want a better coach (who will be more expensive), write a second check to cover the difference in what ODU/ODAF can pay and what the going rate is for an up and coming coach. Just to put it in perspective Kermit is getting 2.5 million a year from Ole Miss... How much do you think ODU should pay a coach? AND where does the money come from?

(Sidenote: the use of the word you is not directed at you)

I should have been a little more clear when I said stop the flow of money. I really just meant donations and financial commitment to the AD. I think some on here are spot on about Wood. He is looking at return on investment which in this case, I think we are coming out ahead when it comes to cost. In all reality, JJ is making close to half of what Blaine was making but the overall product on the court has really only declined a small amount. The problem that I think most have is that we have declined as a program. Under Blaine, we were always right on the cusp being a Mid-Major power, but never could quite achieve it. When Blaine was let go, most would have thought that we would have tried to hire someone better but in all reality we got less by spend less if that makes sense. If the AD and ODAF wanted a new coach, we would have a new coach. I've told others before, 10,000 fans who donate $100 a year is always better than 100 fans who donate $10,000. If us smaller guys want to be heard, the only thing we can do is either complain until they stop listening or stop the giving.
