RE: Kent State vs. Buffalo (MAC Semis)
The Bulls are 9-2 since February 1st. Their only losses were by 3 in OT at Northern Illinois and 2 point setback at Miami. In that stretch they have not scored less than 80 points and eclipsed 90 points four times. The good news is, there opponents have put up at least 80 in all but 3 of those games.

I am sure we will hear about how Kent State is playing for the third time in five days, and there is obviously plenty to be said for that. Regardless, controlling the tempo of this ballgame is going to be big for the Flashes. The Golden Flashes have to make the most of offensive possessions. A steady diet of quick three point attempts will likely play right into Buffalo's hands.

Clearly, keeping players out of foul trouble is also going to be a key. But that is true for any team, any game. That said, 3 of the Bulls that average 15 minutes or more per game shoot 48, 56 and 49 percent from the line. Make the fouls count! Two other Bulls who average 10+ minutes per game shoot 44 and 45 percent from the line. Make the fouls count!

Nothing would taste better tonight than eating all the words of frustration that I have expressed over the course of the season. The consolation prize, of course, would be if Akron losses tonight...wait, they blew a 18 point lead last night and have been eliminated from the conference tournament.

Go Flashes!
