That isn't how it works; they dont select on quotas, though I hope we don't get in. Aside from a new AD and a new coach, they need a long off-season of self-reflection.

I don't get this. We were the third best team in this conference. Did you honestly think, all things going as expected, we were going to win this tournament? I sure didn't. We were able to beat all teams below us, and lose to all teams above us. That's pretty normal. The only exception was W&M and VCU. W&M had their best shooting night of the year and VCU is tough to beat at home, I don't care who you are.
Of course I didn't expect to win, I just held my tongue until it was over. Third best team in the conference at this point in this conference is unacceptable.

Why is that unacceptable? What makes you think that yearly conference championships are somehow our birthright? As if other teams don't recruit, prepare or don't count. Finishing second, to me, means we finished above where anyone thought we would. That's a successful season. Sure I would love to go to the "big dance" but the guy's played hard every game. And truthfully, that's all I can ask of them.

Looks like you and some others that are patting you on the back for this comment will be fine with a performance like this over and over again for years to come but for the section of fans that have high expectations it isn't. Expecting or aiming to win a conf championship with a trip to the dance once in a while shouldn't be called elitism, that should be what we should be working towards if not better.
