Well, that's it. The WCC concessions and getting retro pay kept them in the WCC.

For the time being..

I'm sure the administration has a higher comfort level being in a conference of all private religious schools and being about the median school in enrollment vs. being the only private school and the second smallest school.

I suspect that just getting the money near the MWC neighborhood was all they needed. Depending on how MWC was looking to allocate TV money between basketball and football, MWC could have offered a bit more than WCC.

The WCC had more NCAA tournament revenue than the MWC. Once the WCC decided to give a larger percentage to the schools responsible for earning the NCAA tournament revenue and make it retroactive, the money was not even close. There was no way the MWC could touch that. The scheduling changes, tournament changes and ESPN made it an easy decision.
