The big unknown was what was MWC offering in terms of allocating revenue. Their TV deal includes football and basketball, seems unlikely that MWC would have shared any CFP or bowl revenue or given Gonzaga 1/12th of the TV revenue so WCC offering a financial package in the ballpark of MWC is plausible.

If WCC got somewhere in the neighborhood and is offering better quality TV exposures and has membership that the academic side is more comfortable with it 100% makes sense for Gonzaga.
