BYU basketball is not worth hamstringing the Olympic sports of the entire conference with no Sunday play rules. With the trajectory of BYU football back to pre-Lavell era, I’m not sure the entire package moves the needle enough to make up for the issues derived from BYU membership.

This only effects when you play BYU. For Basketball, Volleyball, soccer, it's no big deal at all (even the Basketball Tournament you are likely to have the Championship game on Saturday or Monday anyway not to compete with the Major conferences for airtime), as few games are ever scheduled on Sunday to begin with. A few Olympic sport conference meets like Tennis and the Golf meets, yeah it's a hassle. But who cares about those sports? And it only impacts you once a year when you play BYU in Tennis, having to do a Friday-Saturday meet instead of a Saturday-Sunday meet. Golf, T&F, XC, etc, schools schedule themselves

You guys are trying far too desperately to invent problems, or more accurately call tiny molehills the Himalayas of obstacles. BYU fills arenas, brings TV value (and eyeballs), and as a perennial top 50-100 program helps the RPI of the league when attempting to get that 3rd bid.
