Also, I know that we should never expect anyone to "do the right thing" in college sports, but if the MWC is really looking to add new members to beef up their basketball, NMSU should be on the list.
The WCC has 4 teams at RPI 248 or lower.

San Diego 143
San Francisco 150
Pacific 182
Santa Clara 248
Loyola Marymount 262
Portland 274
Pepperdine 327

with that they have in conference play
tier 1- 1 game
tier 2- 2 games
tier 3- 3 games
tier 4- 12 games

meanwhile MWC has 14/49/83/149/98/83/127/151/240/215/304 RPI right now. So 3 vs 4 for WCC sub 200. But the thing is while it's 8 conference games sub 200 for WCC, it'd only be 3 for MWC as you only play 7 teams 2x. So even going 151 or lower- it'd be 4 games for MWC vs 10 in the WCC. That's a HUGE difference for the SOS.

MWC would have
tier 1- 3 games
tier 2- 5 games
tier 3- 6 games plus at least 1 of the 151/240/215 games on the road, if not 2.
tier 4- either 2 or 3 games

Yeah a huge difference there.
