Actually, it showed how much the parties are the same.

Mainly this.

But, as designed in the Senate it is a two-year budget, of course has to reconcile with the House, and they need to get to 60 votes to pass it. This
will add some stability and predictability going forward and that is good.

Further, a lot of this budgeted money has already been spent or obligated. People are already hired and most will be there tomorrow too. Contracts written 3 years ago can’t just go unpaid, pensions paid, mail delivered and a million other things already committed too.

That’s where we are. It’s bloated bureaucracy and Federal government run amuck. It’s gotten SO far out of control I don’t know how on earth we dig our way out of it, or heck, even stop the bleeding.

Pretty much agree, but I do get heart burn when either party proposes MORE money for the military than they actually requested.

The military is a sacred cow an I get that, but it shouldn't go totally unrestrained. I'd really love to know how many billions are squandered due to lack of oversight.
