Sounds like they do not want to move to the Southland and Division I, but they also do not want to be left behind in Division II if say A&M - Commerce and West Texas A&M make moves to the Southland and/or WAC...

Do you think Nicholls State and Southeastern Louisiana are going to be excited about the 675, 700 mile commute from their campuses to Angelo State? Sounds pretty exciting, doesn't it? Will Angelo State and Incarnate Word be travel partners since there is only about 3 hr between them? And then Corpus & Houston Baptist can also be travel partners, also three hours between them?

It seems logical the LA schools will make sure any TX addition is within 8 hours of all of them. They’re going to have a hard time funding flights with their budget situation.
