his resume at ucla was dominant..he was fired their for their extremely high expectations-- fired his only year not making a tourney despite making a sweet 16 5 of the last 6 years prior
he was fired at st johns because he wanted long term guarantees contract wise and st john didn't want that kind of commitment (was let go despite making the tourney)

Nope, city guy and a retread. Our last 3 coaches have the same thing in common, fired from prior job. We need a guy that has proven he can win with less, wants to be here, isn't already rolling in $, a recruiter, and identifier of talent. Familiarity with NC Is a plus as well.

the other 2 were successfull mid-majors, 1 from Chattanooga and 1 from drexel...what are you talkng about..i just googled to make sure..did you just make up this stat
and you cant compare lebo to lavin .lebo has never made the tourney in 20 years...lavin made the tourney 8 of his 11 years, nit in 2 of the 3 others

now to address your points...i hope for ecu's sake they dont have your mentatilty

1) what did all 3 of your last head coaches have in common, proved they could win with less in mid majors....all were horrible when then they stepped up in competition and couldnt handle it...

elite retread is the BEST option for ecu..similar to houston and smu....you need someone who knows what it takes to win on a consistent basis in the highest level and has little chance of leaving and the only answer is retread.....

get out of the football mentality, retread in football are the worst...in basketball they are the key to success, i can name a dozen programs built in retreads in basketball...sdsu, smu, auburn, houstons revival, nevada , texas tech (with tubby)
they have bee there and they know what it takes to get there

andd you cant claim some kind of downward spiral, he was fired when winning...he was fired on a contract dispute

Jeff Lebo fired from Auburn, Mac MCcarthy was fired from VCU, and Ricky Stokes fired Va Tech.

I take Dooley, Grant, Moton, or even the guy at Radford over these Retreads.

moton is current 15-15 in a lower tier league and has a total of 2 successful seasons in 9 years
radford's head coach's resume is just as bad as lebos

option 2- 7 ncaas in 11 years, 4 sweet 16s, 1 elite 8
option 3- 2 ncaas in 8 years - 0 wins
option 4 - 1 ncaa in 6 year- 0 wins

who do you take

and funny enough the radford guy and moton would level ecu t the firt sign of success.. youd be coach training for bigger programs, yod sped 3 years building up ecu and your first tourney he'd be gone just to start all over .. the guy with the best resume isnt going anywhere even if he has success
