The playoff criteria does stupid stuff like rank UCF 12 in the first place. Why should we trust the playoff criteria over anything else?

Your point only holds water if one actually believes that winning the AAC is impressive enough to warrant the inclusion you desire.

It's important to realize that many people, in fact the majority, do not feel that it does.
