Vad was the best athlete to play the position. There was no doubt who was the best player on the field when he was out there. That included FBS games (SMU comes to mind).

Having said that, I think Bryan was the best QB to play at JMU. I think he was poised, intelligent, accurate with his throws, great at extending plays, had enough athleticism to break a run, and he won games for us period. If we could redo that last series in the Championship game I wouldn't have wanted anyone else out there but Bryan.

I think we have been spoiled by the last two to play QB at JMU. I didn't watch anyone prior to 1998, but in the last 20 years I think these two have each raised the bar.
