Evidently, they don't. JMU, Richmond, Delaware... nope. Every school wants big money, big exposure, big crowds... that only happens in P5 conferences and the occasional Ack or MWC game.

The old way of thinking was FBS equaled big time "big boy" football. ODU, App St, GaSo, GSU, FIU, FAU jumped thinking that would be the case. I doubt you will see many teams move to FBS now that this whole "P5" thing has happened. I just don't see the incentive to move from say the Southern, MVC or CAA to the Belt, CUSA or MAC any more. Same size crowds, barely better (or sometimes worse) exposure, higher costs, no chance at a championship. It might be worth it for the AAC or MWC, but otherwise Im not sure I see the benefit. At least not until the conferences are more regional like the MAC.
