Remember Good has been playing through an injury that will probably require surgery at the end of this season. McClung missed 4 games with an injury. I didn't have time to convert some of these stats to per minutes played stats and that would even them up a bit, except shooting percentages which are not dependent on minutes played.

Minutes per game Good 29, Mc 26
Field Goal Percentage Good .435 Mc .401
PPG Good 12.3 Mc 13.2
3pt Percentage Good .418 Mc .274
Steals Good 25 Mc 14
Assists Good 52 Mc 43
Free Throw % Good .846 Mc .761
Rebounds Good 55 Mc 50
Turnovers Good 27 Mc 35
Fouls Good 26 Mc 33

If McClung is fantastic, how great is Good?

Flame away...

Good's freshman year stats @ Appy state
games played 29
Minutes 22.6
FG% .417
PPG 7.0
3pt % .410,
Steals Good 18 0.6 average
Assists 45 - 2.7 average
Free Throw % 78.3 & but only 18-23 McClung is currently 56-72
Rebounds 67 2.3 Rebounds same average at ETSU this year McClung is averaging 2.7
Turnovers 23 0.8 average
Fouls 53 average 1.8 average , McClung average 1.75

Comparing a Redshirt Sophmore playing in the conference ranked 14th in the NET rankings to the true freshman in the 5th ranked Conference ETSU SOS 180 vs Georgetown 83. Yeah seems fair hmmm

I think we can all agree McClung and Good are both exceptional talents. I watched both play in high school and so far in college. Watched McClung play today vs Butler. He was leading scorer for both teams and made some huge shots. He also missed two driving layups at end of game that were tough shots but missed them nonetheless. For Ewing to trust him to even take those shots says a lot.

As for Good, I would totally want him with ball in his hands or to take a late game three with game on the line. This whole McClung debate started with some on this board saying he was too slow, etc it play in SoCon. That is completely wrong as he is proving his worth in a Big East. He most likely will be Big East freshman of year. To have Ivy League school offers speaks to his classroom ability. It’s well known he chose Georgetown for its pre law program. I for one would have loved to see him as a Buc and I think Forbes would tell you same thing.
