They're simply too far west for the MAC, even as a duo. Put them in Iowa or east of there and we'd talk, but not now. Football-only is also out of the question after basically getting used by UCF, Temple, and UMass until they didn't need us anymore.

Had UMass accepted our all-sports offer we almost certainly would've offered JMU as the 14th school. In a perfect world the MAC would be able to shed BG, Kent, and EMU for JMU, Marshall, and Cincy imo, but that ain't happening.

I doubt that Bowling Green, Kent STate or EMU would consider that a perfect world.
Like the Handmaid's Tale promos from last year said,
"Better never means better for everyone"

Of course, that's just from my selfish Miami perspective. Doubt that UC would go for something like that either.
