No way would the AAC kick UConn football out. We already have the precedent of Wichita State being no football.

Yeah, I'm biased, I'd love to have UConn back in the Big East. But I also know that they have to put their football interests first. I think they could, and still play Big East hoops.

You're going to have to explain why the AAC would keep UConn in as a football only. I see no motivation for the AAC to hold onto that part.

The explanation is: The AAC would be better off and more valuable with UConn in as a football member than it would be without them.

1. That's not obvious. The TV value of UConn football is highly questionable, as is their ability to draw NYC eyeballs and media attention.

2. The value of UConn football is certainly not enough to create incentives for UConn to take basketball away from the AAC. The league has settled in to an acceptance of being the realignment prison ***** of the P5, they don't need to drop the soap in front of the Big East as well.
