Hope that works for some. I can see why they did it... but to me it looks a little desperate for money.

I dont think its being desperate. Its just taking advantage of the circumstances. But if I was ODAF. I would have sent out images of the new stadium, scoreboard, completed endzone after that win and then you might have something.

Yes. And maybe even send out images of what the improvements could be if we hit a certain funding goal. But, having worked closely with fundraising and development folks, I know how much they love money to have no strings attached. If it were me, I think I'd get past that and let people know if they give it will go directly to funding a nicer stadium. Its too important of a project to muck up. Doing a halfway job will hurt the program more more than help it in the long run. We're running out of time for them to do any special fundraising for the project. I would imagine altered plans would need to be made, approved and signed off on before construction. So thats 2 months. Seems beyond optimistic to me, but at least theres a glimmer of hope for something good again.
