I think they are raising student fees for the project because the project was grandfathered in. They announced the project before all of the state legislature stuff.

I am glad they are spending a bunch of money in basketball. They are still going to be terrible. I would more upset if they were putting $80 million into their football stadium.

I'm not so sure about the grandfathered part. I believe the project had to have already been approved through the assembly prior to the Cox bill and ours wasn't yet. Our basketball practice facility was grandfathered.

Sorry, forget everything i just said...i just reread your post and see that you were talking about JMU. Attention to detail was never my strong suit.
