The biggest issue with this comment is it is only valid if you believe decision making (a byproduct of inexperience) is not correctable. What Santa has is a huge part of the equation. Against Nebraska he made great decisions, but he was being criticized for being ineffective (until the drive to take back the lead).
My point is if you start Childers, don't go back to Santa. Ride that horse regardless of what he does. Don't do to Childers what you did with Santa. Instead Carey should do to Childers what he did with Graham, play him regardless of his performance. Tell him he is they guy, and have his back.
