Because Keith Dambrot is Duquesne's HC.

A-10 > MAC

Sad but it didn't used to be this way.

Atlantic 10 has always been a strong conference, Xavier and Temple were perennial sweet 16 contenders. UMass was the number 1 team in the country during Marcus Camby/John Calipari teams. Duquesne has been a cellar dweller in the league for decades. After some attrition, the conference nabbed top mid-majors from the Colonial, Horizon, and Southern conferences.
