Surmising on a message board that players on other perennial winning teams are paid doesn't get us to "jeopardy", which in this case would be the feds having the same hard evidence that is reflected in these indictments. We can assume that many players on such teams are paid and that their coaches are involved, and we might be correct, but those assumptions are a long way away from videotaped meetings and bag men wearing wires for the FBI. The prosecutors and FBI had to do a helluva lot of good, hard work to get to this point on the folks who are "in jeopardy" right now.

The fact that the FBI now has hard evidence against some of the participants in this case gives them a lot of leverage. At some point, one or more of these guys is going to decide he's not going to be the fall guy, and he will flip in exchange for either immunity or a light sentence. That has to be making a lot of people nervous right now.
