Loud? It needs to be turned up! Louder is better as it gives the illusion of a big time event. Go to Nebraska this weekend and see how loud things are. Any big time school or Chicago sports teams play things loud. The problem with NIU's attendance is it's fan base is old! I go to so many of the events and at 50 I am usually one of the youngest there. We need more late 20's-40's fans. The older you get the more you need a perfect environment or you won't attend.
The issue is the speakers are on one side of the endzone...so on the South side its too loud and on the North side it seem to be not loud enough.
Agreed. Was at a Bears preseason game a few weeks ago and the speakers surround the stadium making the sound great but not too loud. All we need in lots of money to fix this.
Not as much as you might think actually. Have NIU call us - Milam Audio Inc. We can fix this whole speaker issue. Reasonable cost because we don't gouge our customers. :-)
To really improve the sound, wouldn't they need to add more speakers around the stadium?
