ESPN should win big in ratings this week just based on the matchups.
well during the fall, it's football season and you show football.
Love how it's always some excuse for FS1.
MLB in the fall is just as important as college football. Especially next month.
Not on Saturday's. Last year was a once in a lifetime thing with the Cubs. Fox's problem IMO is how they have so much other crap like UFC, NASCAR, and Golf that they're showing rather than football. ESPN has the best set up because ESPN 2 is a viable option as a secondary channel and so they can show the US Open there easily and not lose the Tennis crowd.
Royals vs Blue Jays the year before brought high ratings for FS1. That's the smallest AL market and a Canadian tv market.
UFC and NASCAR aren't crap products either. Maybe in your mind. Two very solid properties over the course of the year.
FOX and FS1 have plenty of college football loaded up in October and November during the conference seasons. September is mainly out of conference games which are hit and miss scheduling wise anyways for all the networks.
Royals/Blue Jays did not get high ratings. Maybe for FS1 compared to the other crap they normally put on, but that series got historically low ratings. Like the 3 lowest LCS audiences EVER in MLB history.
UFC and Nascar are solid properties, but have no business being on FS1 on Saturdays during the fall. Casual sport fans don't give a rip about UFC or Nascar. They are niche sports at best- and sports that have totally peaked and are falling.
And it's always an excuse for FS1.... What excuse will be next??
