While I generally agree, someone forgot to tell RU that in 2008. 9-3/6-2 regular season..Finished 13-3..

Along a similar topic, a 7-4 team could make the semis.
-VU did it it 2010 (finished 9-5), losing to eventual national Champ EWU. VU was the defending NC. As I recall Matt Szczur got hurt during the regular season, missed a bunch of games including a couple of their losses, then they got him back for the playoffs. Ironically that season UD made the NC game after going 9-2/6-2 (no I-A game).
-UNH did it in 2013 (finished 10-5), losing to eventual national champ NDSU.

If JMU lost Schor for say half the regular season, and/or a bunch of other key starters, then got them back for the playoffs, could go 8-3, and then make a NC run.
