Okay. THERE it is. Speaking financially, why wouldn't MSU just "buy out" the 3rd game in this series with USM and never go to Hattiesburg? They could easily schedule another home game in Starkville and earn at least $2.4M ($40 X 60K), not including concessions, parking, tailgate fees, etc...

Well, if they do that, they end up paying us a lot more than anyone else has paid us for visiting them, which wouldn't be too smart.

Did you ever consider that maybe playing in Hattiesburg once in a while might be a good thing? They've got fans down there. They've got recruits down there. They've got players from the area. It's not like USM is located in some kind of no man's land where no one would ever go unless the town bribed them. 03-lmfao

So you think it would still be worth it for Miss St to lose the net $1 million bucks or so (after paying another opponent to come to Starkville) just so they can play in Hattiesburg? Okay. 01-wingedeagle

Played in Hattiesburg recently. Why are you adamant State won't play this time?? Buyouts aren't that common.
