This is not a shot at Jones. Even Coach K recruits some that don't work out. Talley was a miss. All in all, even if Pilavios and Reece are misses (I still consider them TBD) and if you consider Carver a miss (I don't consider a 4-year role player with high character and academics a miss), his track record is still pretty good. I would expect 30% to be misses and another 30% to be role players. If 70% of 13 scholarships are contributing, that seems about right. That is roughly 4 role players, 4 bench warmers and 5 significant contributors. Just need more Freshmen, fewer Ebondos, Robinsons, and Biberajs, and less scrambling for warm bodies at the 11th hour. If you are relying on transfers to fill the role player spots, you are not recruiting enough volume. I think we are on the right track, just frustrating how long it took.

If you aren't leaving 1-2 spots available for the inevitable 1,000 player transfer portal then you are doing your school a disservice. The level of recruits we get from transfers is far superior than what we could reasonably get from high school recruits.
