I was in Boone Wednesday and they were preparing to blast. The specs called for 30 ft deep shafts. They bottomed out at 28 ft, 21 ft and 15 ft. All began filling up with water, which was predictable by anyone who has been around KBS for any length of time knew was going to happen. The new course of action is to drill into the rock, blast it and extract the fragments until they get down 30 feet. Probably will have to sink a cason then use a slurry type system to deal with the water. It is turning out to be a very expensive scoreboard.
