Sounds like you agree that playing a game in California is more expensive than sending one assistant couch out there to recruit for a week. That is correct.

Nope, as usual, you miss the point. Montana has to fly for games. So that is a sunk cost.

The recruiting that goes on during the games is an added benefit for recruiting.

And yes, players do choose schools that will play near their home in the future, even if it is just twice in their career.
