But that is where you are wrong Frank, I would like to focus your attention on the AAC
My understanding too, is what Frank said (...did I really write that?? ). There is a waiting period for bids from new conferences formed.
The AAC was a brand new conference and had zero wait time to get an autobid for from the NCAA.
Unless it has been changed, there is a clause that if a minimum number of the teams have played together in the same conference for a minimum number of years, then they can get an autobid. (I don't remember details of how many, and not interested enough to look it up.) AAC met that. However if it is a group with only one or two that have been together, then the waiting period kicks in. Both sides of the argument can be correct depending on which side of the line it falls on.
So, GCU would likely need some company .....from here.

Sharing. I found this page where the DI manual can be downloaded in PDF format, among others.
Going out (to watch The Godfather on the big screen...thanks TCM) so I'll browse it later....maybe. Anyway, nice to be able to get offline copy of the manual.
