Colorado and Utah got in and want to shut the door.

This. Colorado isn't going east without a fight.

None of these schools want to lose access to California.

The state of Texas is big and valuable, but all of the Pac 12 is in the orbit of California. All of these schools draw students from there, and all of them have large numbers of alumni there. Even if there is a large revenue difference between the Pac 12 and B1G/SEC, it is hard for me to see expansion of the Pac 12 east of the Rockies. They like what they are and where they are. They're the Conference of Champions. Just ask Bill Walton. 04-rock

Texas could prove me wrong and go west some day. I don't think any of the other B12 schools move the needle for them without Bevo.
