I hope he does, mainly for selfish Barca reasons, at least to me. He was cursed at today while trying to practice with the national team. Imagine that, he's a World Cup winner and treated like crap. He's used to the whistling during Spain matches, but from what I've read, today it went to a whole new level.

Pique is an easy target for the wrath of the Spanish fans. He has also inflamed the situation with his strong rhetoric and actions. Some of his national team teammates want him off the team, they view him as an agitator and a traitor. Barcelona fans been very nasty towards Real Madrid Spanish players the last couple of years. It's a real shame because there was actually goodwill between Real and Barca fans after the World Cup. Iniesta, Xavi,Puyol, Pique, and other players were honored and given a standing ovation when they came to the Bernabeu after winning the World Cup. The same thing happened at the Nou Camp when Real Madrid came and they honored and gave standing ovations for Xabi Alonso, Sergio Ramos, and Arbeloa.

Which NT teammates want him off the team? Ramos is his biggest foil, but they get along well on the pitch. Ramos has even asked Spanish fans NOT to whistle Pique, etc.

According to Spanish media outlets AS and Marca that the relationship between Ramos and Pique is broken and beyond repair after some of Pique tweets.

lol, don't trust anything coming out of Marca concerning Barca and don't trust anything coming out of Sport concerning Real Madrid. From everything I've read coming from the individuals, they get along great on the pitch. Pique even referenced that today. IMO, the constant banter between the two is mostly for show to get the fans all riled up, etc. Ramos has even gone so far as to ask Madrid fans NOT to boo Pique during national team matches.
