The C-USA West schools find themselves in a much weaker conference based on this model. Give up WKU, MTSU, ODU, Marshall for TxSt, USA, ULM, ULL? No way. Arkansas State is the only western SBC team worth being with.

I can't speak for the other schools involved, but Tech has spent too much time and effort trying to build it's program and brand to set itself back 20 years like this.

Let me save you all some work. If your proposed conference for Tech doesn't include USM, UTSA, WKU, and MTSU at a minimum, or if you don't have Tech moving to the AAC, or if you are putting Tech with ULM and/or Texas State, don't even bother suggesting it because it's out of the question.

This. We're better than those other schools and dom't need to be associated with any of them in any manner.
