It's still a great brand but financially not likely to maintain what they have and they are looking for a team or teams at a time when there probably more cost sensitivity toward athletics than we've seen in two or three decades.

They aren't going to strike out, they just may not have has many knocking on the door as they would have had 5-10 years ago.

This is why I advocated adding two even before Creighton left. They'd be adding from a position of strength and it was no secret that a couple of programs had higher aspirations. Even when CU left they still had some leverage to go to 12. Now that many have been struggling and the top of the conference doesn't look all that great, it becomes harder.

But the MVC has never been proactive.
