Yes. Totally idiotic to assume the man who has spent all of his time in college basketball under JJ would have learned from him. I have also seen nothing from him that leads me to believe that he is the next great up and coming coach.

Frankly don't understand why anyone would ever fire their coach for performance the hire his assistant.

He did play win the NCAA and has learned many different forms of offense.
Can you name a single instance where a coach was fired for performance and then replaced by his assistant?

He is an ex NBAer with huge credibility in the Basketball community. He has a lot of knowledge from his vast experience.
How are all these ex NBA guys doing? Mullin? Price? Ewing?

It could be argued that Stith approached his career in a much different way then those you mentioned.
