RE: NC State to fire Gottfried at end of season
I hope Keatts stays first of all. But, if he left UNCW for Dayton I would completely understand. Archie has positioned himself to be a top candidate, if not the lead candidate, for IU and OSU according to writers and all of us brilliant internet basketball minds. Rather than taking a second-tier job at a P5 school, why not go to one of the best jobs in the A-10 and position yourself for a top-tier job?

I think the idea of Mizzou, UGa or NCSU is shortsighted. Yes, as P5 schools they offer things that we can't, namely money and facilities. As much as coaches like competition and providing for their families, they also want to win ballgames. You may be the guy that changes a university's profile, but a 30 year history is a pretty strong indication of the type of challenges that you're going to face.
