In terms of dream job, I thought about Louisville. Louisville and Pitino gave him his first opportunity, so that could be a place he'd love to coach. Louisville is an elite job, and their budget is insane, so it's hard to say that a guy with 4-5 years experience will be at the top of their list.

Pitino's coaching tree is probably the most impressive of any current coach, so if they want to replace him with a disciple, they'll have lot's of names to choose from. That said, I think Louisville will look outside of Pitino's tree for his replacement. The Louisville situation is much different than Carolina where there's pressure to stay inside the family.

To keep this subject matter in line with the initial thread, I'll end by saying that NCSU is a second-tier job. As Luke Decock said last week, "N.C. State is going to hear “no” a lot in this coaching search."
