#13 Cats ends Louisville 6 game winning streak in the series 11-7. Cats first victory over the Cards since April 15, 2014. Cards own miscues proved to be costly. Cats put up 5 runs in the first, including a throw to home plate that appeared that would have been in time but was instead cut off. Louisville responded by putting runners at 2 & 3 with no outs but a fly ball to short left turned into a triple play. Runner at 3 tagged up but was thrown out at home & the runner at 2 tried to advance when the throw to the plate wasn't cut off but he to was thrown out at 3. A few innings later an apparent routine double play ball went through the second baseman legs & resulted in 3 more runs scoring in the inning for the Cats. Cards trailed 11-0 in the 5 but came back with 7 runs. The game ended fittingly with another Cards miscue, the runner at 1 thought the ball was fouled tipped but was actually a swing & a miss. He was caught meandering between 1 & 2 for the final out.
