The lease on the Jaguar's stadium is reputed to be one of the most difficult to break. They won't move to Saint Louis unless they wish to play in some high school stadium. The dome will be remodeled for use as exhibition/convention space only. Ultimately, the dome will be demolished and replaced by a dedicated exhibition/convention addition to the convention center.

Saint Louis City is small and poor. Saint Louis County residents are tired of being taxed for things in the city. The state is not going to be paying for stadiums for any pro teams.
