Quote:RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) — Virginia Commonwealth University announced its men’s basketball coach Mike Rhoades has signed a two-year contract extension that will keep him on the Rams' sideline through the 2026-27 season.

“It’s an honor to be the coach at VCU, and I never take it for granted,” Rhoades said in a statement. “I’m excited to continue to build this the right way, by investing in great people and players. I’m excited to help our guys move forward.”

Rhoades has compiled an 80-43 record in four years at VCU and led the Rams to the Atlantic 10 title in 2019 and NCAA Tournament berths in 2019 and 2021.

Her's hoping Coach Pera can lead us to a conference title this year.

I believe it's because the 2 years becomes 5 when added to the time remaining on his current contract.
